The first dose of Pfizer / BioNTech, which received emergency approval from a UK drug regulator last week, will be given on Tuesday to front-line health workers, nursing home workers and those over 80 years old.
According to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, it is one of the largest public logistics efforts ever undertaken by the UK as well as being the largest vaccination driver in the UK in history.

Professor Stephen Powis, NHS national medical director, said that despite facing many problems, hospitals would begin the first phase of the largest-scale vaccination campaign in the country's history starting Tuesday.
