Iran today firmly rejected Saudi Arabia's request for Gulf countries to hold talks on possible talks with the Islamic republic on its nuclear program.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Saturday called for the government to hold talks on the effects of negotiations with Iran.
However, the request was rejected by Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh.
In addition, Iran also claims that Riyadh finances extremist ideology and is responsible for many problems in the Arab and Islamic worlds.
In addition, US President-elect Joe Biden has signaled that he wants the United States to rejoin the 2015 Iran nuclear deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan, or JCPOA.
In addition, the agreement has had its support since 2018, but US President Donald Trump withdrew and began imposing sanctions on the Islamic republic.
Thus, since 2019, Iran has gradually withdrawn its main nuclear commitment in response to the sanctions and exposed Europe’s inability to provide the economic benefits promised under the agreement.
According to Tehran, the decision can be overturned if the other parties to the agreement implement their commitment.
For everyone's knowledge, Sunni-ruled Saudi Arabia has severed diplomatic relations with Shiite Iran after protesters attacked its diplomatic mission in the Islamic republic. Even the crisis involved the conflict from Syria to Yemen.
Enmity between the two countries is said to have intensified last year after repeated attacks on tankers in the Gulf, which is rumored to originate from Tehra despite Iran denying it.
Not only that! Iran has also rejected Germany's request to join Britain, China, France and to sign a new, broader agreement that will cover the limits of Tehran's ballistic missile program.
