MicroStrategy once again bought 29,646 BTC for $ 21,925 per coin with a total of $ 650 million.

The purchase was announced yesterday via Twitter tweet of MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor during the withdrawal of Satoshi Nakamato's asset price at $ 22,247.

In early December, the firm announced plans to buy Bitcoin using a $ 400 million securities offering.

This brings the firm's total Bitcoin ownership to 70,470 BTC as the fifth largest Bitcoin owner, surpassing the United States (US) administration which owns around 69,420 BTC.

MicroStrategy started investing in Bitcoin last August with a purchase of 21,000 BTC for $ 250 million. At that time, they explained that they would make Bitcoin a major reserve asset, a protector against greenback inflation.

In September, the firm once again made a purchase of Bitcoin for a total price of $ 425 million through Coinbase.

Most recently, Saylor has responded to the tweets of Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk by supporting the figure to invest in Bitcoin, replacing the US dollar as a major reserve asset.

Saylor further explained, if Musk acts in this way it is not impossible that some S&P 500 firms will do the same which will lead to more profits.
