United States Attorney General William Barr will step down next week after the Electoral College (Electoral College) confirmed Joe Biden's victory over President Donald Trump in the recent presidential election.

According to Trump, Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen will act as acting attorney general after Barr resigns.

"Our relationship is very good, he has done a great job!" said Trump via Twitter.

Meanwhile, the White House administration informed Reuters that Barr had resigned at his own will.

Barr said he will officially resign on December 23.

Earlier, Trump vented his anger against Barr on Twitter after the Wall Street Journal reported Barr learned of a tax-related investigation by Biden's son Hunter earlier this year.

Moreover, Barr also does not support Trump's claim that there was fraud in the vote count during the election.

In fact, Trump's legal team also accused Barr of failing to conduct a thorough investigation into Trump's allegations.
