Al Kelly, CEO of Visa issued a statement that their financial services company plans to allow the purchase of Bitcoin through Visa. Kelly’s latest statement came after Mastercard unveiled their crypto plans in February.

Kelly says that the company plans to partner with Bitcoin wallet. He continued, the first step is to enable the purchase of bitcoin by displaying Visa credentials and then integrate with a bitcoin wallet to allow Bitcoin to be converted into fiat currency and can be used anywhere that accepts Visa.

Clearly, the steps taken will further make it easier for consumers to buy cryptocurrencies using Visa credentials or buy fiat by converting to cash with Visa credentials at any of the 70 million businesses that support Visa.

Earlier this year Visa’s rival company, Mastercard had announced that they planned to accept Bitcoin and other crypto assets in 2021. The main focus was on consumer protection and legal standards.

The surge in demand for Bitcoin among retail and institutional investors has prompted financial firms to seek to accept BTC as a method of payment. CoinFlip which is one of the leading Bitcoin ATM issuers in the U.S. has expanded their network in recent months.

The price of Bitcoin has reached an all -time high of $ 61,000 last Sunday. It is currently trading at the $ 55,059.66 price level
