The founder of Bitcoin (BTC) whose identity remains a mystery, Satoshi Nakamoto is said to have owned at least 750,000 to 1.1 million bitcoins since the currency was first issued.
It is also understood that Nakamoto never spent his holding.
If you look at the current bitcoin exchange rate, the mysterious individual can be considered part of the world's millionaires with a wealth value of over $ 59 billion!
Even if Nakamoto actually owns a number of Bitcoin assets as stated. Not to mention some of the forks it owns such as bitcoin cash (BCH) worth over $ 650 million and bitcoinsv (BSV) worth over $ 250 million, and 1.1 million bitcoin gold (BTG) and others are not mentioned.
With just BTC alone, Satoshi Nakamoto is ranked in the top 20 richest people in the world based on the Forbes Billionaires 2021 list.
Nakamoto’s position surpasses (20) Bloomberg co -founder Michael Bloomberg and (19) Walmart founder Sam Walton’s heir, Rob Walton.
For the record, last October Nakamoto was announced to be ranked 157th. In just a few months, the individual managed to climb to the top 20 list, as a result of Bitcoin ownership and several other forks.
However, Nakamoto still needs time to overcome the position of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos who still tops the charts and Tesla founder Elon Musk who is in second place.
Maybe not this year or maybe it will happen this year. Time will tell.
