For Passengers, AirAsia Extends Credit Account Up To 3 Years!

 Low -cost carrier, AirAsia Group Bhd will provide benefits to passengers to extend the credit account period up to three years from the date of issue.


AirAsia says that every credit account holder issued before 30 June 2021 will have an extended flight booking value automatically.


At 10.11am, AirAsia shares were down half a sen or 0.6% to 83 sen and subsequently gained a market capitalization of RM3.24 billion.


According to AirAsia's statement, the credit account extension of up to three years is only for direct online bookings made through airasia.com or the airasia super app.


While for bookings made through travel agents, passengers can refer to their respective booking agents for further assistance.



AirAsia’s chief customer happiness officer stated that the matter would give passengers flexibility to make reservations in the future.


However, it can only be used on flights operated by AirAsia.


In addition, credit accounts can also be used to purchase baggage allowances, seat selection, food and in -flight insurance, pay taxes and government fees as well as other services.


"Credit accounts are not limited to the person who made the original booking and can be used to pay for other people's flights," he added.


Due to travel restrictions and the closure of the deck international border due to the Covid-19 epidemic, it has resulted in AirAsia suspending most of its regular flights since March 2020.
