Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASBN) announced the distribution of 5.o sen per unit as a dividend to the holders of Amanah Saham Bumiputra (ASB).
According to an ASBN statement, the dividend distribution of 4.25 sen and a bonus of 0.75 sen per unit comprising a total payment of RM8.9 billion will benefit 10.4 million ASB unit holders for the financial year ended 31 December 2021.
He added that they managed to maintain a competitive income distribution that surpassed its benchmark at a 12 -month Fixed Deposit rate with a record rate of return of 1.85 per cent.
To date, the total accumulated income distribution and ASB bonus has amounted to RM168.5 billion since it was first introduced in 1990.
In the meantime, ASB transactions will be suspended from 23 December 2021 until 2 January 2022 and reopen on 3 January 2022.
