Opera internet browser will be integrated with Polygon (MATIC) in the near future.

It is understood the merger of the two platforms will take place in the first quarter of 2022.

This effort will open access to more than 80 million Opera users to the Polygon ecosystem.

They can access decentralized applications (dApps) such as SushiSwap, Curve, Aave, and blockchain-based games as well as non-fungible token (NFT) platforms such as Decentraland, OpenSea, and The Sandbox.

Most importantly, this integration also helps crypto investors out of high cost pressures and slow transactions on most blockchains especially Ethereum.

For information, Opera is an internet browser that has support for Web 3.0 applications and crypto wallets.

Polygon is a layer-2 Ethereum solution developed to reduce gas costs and speed up transaction rates.

Meanwhile, on December 10, Opera also announced plans to merge with blockchain and dApps Solana in the same period.
