Boeing will produce aircraft in the metaverse space, as soon as two years from 2022.

The intended aircraft will be developed with a 3D design along with connections to robots that can communicate with each other.

Not only that, connected mechanics around the world will be interconnected through the HoloLens headset produced by Microsoft.

This is Boeing’s first step into Web 3.0 by combining aviation services operations and production in one digital ecosystem.

Perhaps Boeing’s decision is seen only in line with the hype of the digital revolution but in fact the initiative taken is to improve quality and safety, again the aerospace industry is very close to an unexpected threat.

According to Boeing chief engineer Greg Hyslop, more than 70% of quality issues are closely related to design problems: "Speed can be improved, quality can improve, communication and response are smoother when issues arise."

This refers to the 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner crises that have been the focus of worldwide attention in recent times.

Boeing isn’t the first company to want to launch transportation in the metaverse with the help of HoloLens.

Ford and BMW for example also use HoloLens to improve the safety of their users.
