Who would have thought that the collection of non-fungible token (NFT) series produced by renowned Taiwanese artist Jay Chou managed to surpass the value of Bored Ape Yatch Club (BAYC) for the first time in the history of NFT sales.
Just a moment ago one of the Phanta Bear collections by PHANTACi, a hipster brand introduced by Chou; PHANTA BEAR #9999 was sold at a price of 148 ETH ($ 460.38 thousand, equivalent to RM 1.93 million).
This latest record also surpasses the sales record of 4 BAYC collections - #4270; #1154; #1754; #224; #2020; and one from the CryptoPunk collection, #4795.
For the record, on January 1 PHANTACi launched 10,000 NFTs and all of them sold out in 40 minutes when the floor price was just 0.26 ETH.
However, at the time of writing the floor price for each PHANTA BEAR has increased to 5.88 ETH.
Not enough of that, this NFT trading volume hit a value of 17,194.22 ETH, up over 462% in a week, surpassing BAYC’s trading records, 16,583.65 ETH and Doodle, 16,407.14 ETH.
