Elon Musk's total wealth jumped from US $ 33.8 billion or about RM141.33 billion on Monday to US $ 304.2 billion.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the surge in Musk's wealth was the result of a report on the rise in shares of electric car maker, Tesla Inc.
Tesla shares rose 13.5% to US $ 1,199.78 after hitting a record 4th quarter (4Q) above analysts for car deliveries.
The company’s market capitalization jumped above US $ 1 trillion last month after declines in November and early December.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk's net worth includes a stake in the SpaceX company that hit a record high of US $ 340 billion last year and surpassed John D Rockefeller's highest net worth as the richest man in modern history.
