Martial arts legend, movie star and philosopher Bruce Lee will be immortalized in a non-fungible token (NFT) to commemorate the legacy of the martial arts pioneer and world cultural icon.
Bruce Lee Family Company, the company owned by the late Bruce Lee’s family will partner with NFT Ethernity licensing platform to launch Bruce Lee’s NFT collection, known as ‘The Formless Form’.
It is understood that the collection is inspired by the philosophy and teachings of the Jeet Kune Do practitioner. Its launch is expected to take place on January 8, 2022.
Ethernity has announced the news on social media and the artwork has been created by Raf Grassetti, BossLogic and Anthony Francisco.
This is not the first time famous stars and celebrities who have passed away are remembered through the production of NFT.
Some of the famous figures immortalized in the NFT include the late Kurt Cobain and Tupac Shakur.
Earlier the Jerry Garcia Foundation had launched the late Grateful Dead guitarist’s NFT at an auction in May last year.
In addition, Ethernity once partnered with Muhammad Ali Enterprises (MAE) and launched the Muhammad Ali NFT collection which was auctioned at Sotheby’s in July.
