AirAsia X Records RM11.9 Million Loss For Q2 FY2022

AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) recorded a net loss of RM11.94 million for the 2nd quarter ended 31 December 2021 (Q2 FY2022) with revenue of RM119.31 million.


For your information, the financial year of AAX has been changed from 31 December 2020 to 30 June 2021.


According to Bursa Malaysia filings, no dividends were declared, approved or paid during the quarter under review.


For the 3 months to December 2021, AAX earned RM119.4 million from cargo rental operations, an increase of 68% from the previous quarter.



Age AAX a total of 3 aircraft operated in the quarter.


AAX added that it expects more aircraft to return to operation in stages so that cargo rental revenue will continue to grow, besides also expecting revenue from passenger sales to increase as the market reopens.


Meanwhile, the issue of debt restructuring and corporate restructuring of companies has seen progress during the quarter.


On 16 December 2021, the High Court approved its debt restructuring proposal.


As of this morning, AAX traded 0.93% red at 53 sen with a market value of RM217.74 million.
