After several major Russian banks were dropped from SWIFT, Ukrainian deputy president Mikhail Fedorov called on major crypto exchange platforms to block Russian consumers instead.
Fedorov argues that restrictions on crypto platforms are not only implemented against political users in Russia, but also involve ordinary users.
Not only that, Fedorov asked Apple to block the App Store feature and stop selling the product in Russia.
In fact this request of the Ukrainian deputy president is part of an effort to unite the whole world against Russian aggression.
Most large companies like Google and Facebook have already limited the spread of Russian propaganda, including paid advertising.
At the same time, Instagram and Facebook access in Russia has been blocked as long as the country fires missiles against kindergartens and hospitals in Ukraine.
Even so, the Kraken platform explains most crypto exchanges are unable to follow in the footsteps of Facebook and Google because the actions are done without legal action.
As of this morning, Ukraine has received crypto contributions amounting to more than RM33 million in various forms of cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ether, USDT, and more than 100 other tokens.
