‘Like Tony Stark is Elon Musk, Ukrainians don’t have to worry about Starlink being ready to serve.’
SpaceX millionaire and founder Elon Musk is ready to help Ukraine by providing Starlink satellite broadband services and adding more terminals to the country experiencing internet disruptions.
The tensions of the Russia-Ukraine crisis have disrupted internet networks in Ukraine, especially in the southern and eastern regions of the country that have been attacked by Russia.
As a result, Elon Musk in a statement said, SpaceX's Starlink satellite will provide broadband services to Ukraine, besides will also add more terminals for internet network control in the country.
Musk's action was in response to a tweet made by Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who subtly asked for Musk's help stating that SpaceX -owned rockets had reached Mars, but Russian -owned rockets had already struck Ukraine.
As a matter of knowledge, satellite technology is able to supply internet to those who live in rural areas or places where it is difficult to get fiber optic cable services.
In addition, satellite technology can also be a backup to critical situations such as hurricanes or natural disasters that disrupt communication networks.
As of Jan. 15, Musk said that SpaceX has a total of 1,469 active Starlink satellites and 272 moving into orbit that will be operational soon.
