Khazanah Nasional Bhd provided support to the national airline, Malaysia Airlines (MAS) to make an initial flight to Australia.
In a statement released by MAS on 2 March, the Australian government has fully opened the borders from 3 March to eligible travelers and the country's national airline company will reconnect flights to Perth 2 times a week and 5 times a week to Sydney.
He added, the frequency of flights to Perth will be increased by 5 times a week and 7 times a week to Sydney by April.
For now, MAS is offering roundtrip fees as low as RM1,999 for economy class and RM6,999 for business class, reservations can be made until March 6 and valid for immediate travel until July 31.
While for flights to Sydney as well, economy class is offered at prices as low as RM2,929 and RM8,199 for business class, reservations can be made now and for immediate flights until 28 March.
It is common knowledge that MAS, like other airlines in Malaysia, was forced to suspend domestic and international flights due to the transmission of the Covid-19 pandemic.
