After Netflix, Alphabet Inc's Google is now the second victim to which Russia has fined 11 million rubles or US$137,763 for the company's failure to suppress "false statements" about the conflict in Ukraine and YouTube videos produced by Ukrainian far-right groups.
The TASS news agency report stated that the Russian superintendent will carry out punishment against Google for "spreading falsehood" on YouTube and has previously been given a warning if the giant United States (US) company fails to comply with established regulations.
TASS explained again, Google was also found to be spreading false news about the loss of Russian soldiers and lay casualties in Ukriane and the circulation of YouTube video clips produced by right-wing Ukrainian groups such as the nationalist battalion, Azov.
According to the Tagansky Moscow Regional Court, Google was found guilty of violating the regulations that allowed the company to be fined 4 million rubles and an additional 7 million for both.
