Alphabet Inc's YouTube reportedly ran into trouble early this morning local time after harassment tracking website Downdetector.com reported more than 10,000 users failed to access their accounts on the platform.

In addition, a number of users also reported that they failed to access the live television platform, Youtube TV.

Among other problems reported were logins, switching between accounts and the navigation bar.

Still, a few hours later Alphabet is said to have successfully fixed an issue that disrupted certain features for thousands of its users across its online video sharing platform and social media platforms.

According to a tweet on YouTube's official Twitter, the company said they have identified the problem and fixed it, and now users should be logged in, switching between accounts and using the account menu and navigation bar across all services including YouTube, YouTube TV, YouTube Music and YouTube Studio .

So far, neither YouTube nor Alphabet has refused to give any details about the disruption.

Meanwhile, YouTube is now on the verge of sanctions by Russia following its actions in blocking the broadcast of the country's lower parliamentary program.
