Meta Launches New Test At Horizon Worlds, Business Opportunity At Metaverse!

Despite being showered with opposition from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Meta boldly announced the latest testing on its flagship virtual reality platform, Horizon Worlds.

In the latest development, Meta has launched testing of trading activities in the metaverse where users can trade virtual items ranging from jewelry, clothing, character modes, etc. in the space.

Even so, the testing is limited to Horizon Worlds users in the United States (US) who are 18 years old and above only.

It is likely that once the testing period ends, Meta will further expand its trading functionality to users around the world.

Payments will be processed through the Meta App Store.

The latest functionality introduced by Meta is nothing new. Several social platforms: Roblox and Rec Room first highlight the same concept - its users can sell every item produced.

It’s also lucrative because their users really take advantage of that privilege.

As of February, Horizon Worlds has managed to see 300,000 monthly users from the U.S. and Canada since its launch in the first few months.

Interestingly, Horizon Worlds has also grown to accommodate 10,000 ‘worlds’ that can be a place to meet friends or relatives virtually.

But so far there is no sign of Horizon Worlds penetrating the Malaysian market.
