Like falling down the stairs when the streaming company, Netflix Inc, which lost US $ 40 billion in the past few weeks, now has to lay off its employees.
It is understood Netflix is undergoing a marketing restructuring after it saw its user growth slow down and its share fell by 26%.
As a result, Netflix has terminated the services of some employees at Tudum, a website that acts to promote the streaming company's movies and TV shows.
The move is seen as a drastic move by Netflix after its high -profile Chief Marketing Officer Bozoma Saint John resigned last month.
For now, Netflix is said not to stop or get rid of Tudum because the website is the company's latest initiative to help the editorial and promotion team.
Meanwhile, some laid off workers have voiced their feelings on Twitter.
A former employee of Evette Dionne, who is believed to be Netflix’s editorial and publishing manager in Tudum expressed her sadness that she only worked for 7 months before being laid off.
So far Netflix has not issued any further statement on this matter.
