Warner Music Group (WMG) unveiled a partnership with Proof of Attendance Protocol (POAP) to record memories or attendance digitally in NFT form for fans attending music events beginning with a concert from Kevin Gates of Atlantic Records company.

POAP (pronounced ‘Poh-ap’) is a technology that combines memories and experiences in one form of NFT, becoming digital proof of its owner’s presence or participation in any program.

It is understood the collaboration with WMG is actually open to attractive rewards. POAP fans and owners are given the opportunity to access airdrops, polls, private chat rooms, exclusive content, and more.

In addition to Gates, Oliver Tree will also be using POAP to celebrate the presence of his fans in the launch of his latest album, Cowboy Tears, and many more artists will follow.

Looking at WMG’s determination in maintaining interaction with fans, it is rumored that over 4.5 million POAPs were produced for over half a million participants.

Not to stop here, WMG also plans to continue to explore and innovate while in collaboration with POAP.

POAP chief operating officer Isabel Gonzalez described the NFT as a game-changer for artists who want to connect with their fans.

Consciously or not, the acceptance of POAP in the WMG ecosystem will simultaneously bring wide exposure to the uniqueness of this NFT as it differs from existing NFTs.

In addition to WMG, cryptocurrency and NFT wallet devices, Ledger has also partnered with POAP for the limited series of Ledger Nano S Plus.
