Renowned Korean drama publishing house (Kdrama), Studio Dragon is excited to announce a collaboration with metaverse The Sandbox (SAND) to set up a virtual world themed on Korean dramas.
It is understood Dragon Studio has already acquired land on The Sandbox, and they will also be producing (mint) avatar jewelry and non-fungible token (NFT) -based game items using leading IP drama.
Not only that, Dragon Studio will produce collaborative content with global IP on LAND to bring fans a new experience in The Sandbox metaverse.
Developed in 2016, the company is known for its high-quality dramas, for example: Sweet Home, Crash Landing on You, Hometown Cha-Cha, Vincenzo, Hotel del Luna, and Stranger.
Interestingly, apparently the NFT from the drama Vincenzo, Mine, and Hotel del Luna was already launched last year.
Fans of the Dragon Studio-produced drama are not just limited to South Korea but have traveled across Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.
It can be said that Dragon Studio is the first pioneer of K-verse: "This is an opportunity for K-drama fans to enjoy the various content offered by us."
Apart from this publishing house, several K-pop music companies such as HYBE, SM, JYP, and Cube Entertainment have already ventured into the metaverse world since 2021.
At the time of writing, The Sandbox’s native token - SAND - registered a decline of more than 1% in 24 hours, trading at $ 1.33 after touching a daily high, $ 1.4 this morning.
