"Now the price is falling but do investors think this crypto has the potential to go up?"
Cronos cryptocurrency (CRO) finally broke through $0.08 after Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing platform entered into an agreement with Cronos Labs, a Web3 startup focused on DeFi and blockchain gaming.
Through the collaboration, AWS intends to further develop the Web3 sector, the use of blockchain technology, DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi and Infrastructure applications through the Cronos Accelerator Program.
While CRO surged over 13% following the news, the digital asset's price is now back at $0.07 and its value is still down 81% following last year's massive fall.
On the other hand, the technology giant is about to launch "Amazon NFT Marketplace" or "Amazon Digital Marketplace" which offers 15 collections, but it will be available to customers in the United States (US) first.
Even so, most individuals may have lost interest in NFTs after their sales fell to a 16-month low when the crypto market experienced a drastic fall last year.
Coupled with the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) in March this year, NFT trading volume plunged by 50%.
In context, crypto advocates have long wanted to see Amazon accept digital assets such as Bitcoin (BTC) as a payment method but Andy Jassy, the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has insisted that they will not.
