"Wow that's interesting, there must be many people who are interested in going here."
Bitcoin Pizza Day was created to commemorate a famous programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz who spent his 10,000 Bitcoin (BTC) to buy two large pizzas on May 22, 2010.
At the time of the pizza purchase, 10,000 BTC was worth $40 each without anyone expecting the BTC price to reach a record high that shocked the world in 2021.
BTC reached an all-time high of $68,789 in 2021, but now the price is back down at $27,335.
To commemorate the event, 500 local cryptocurrency and BTC enthusiasts will gather under one roof to eat, network, celebrate and party on June 3, 2023 in Malaysia.
Presented by CryptoBilis in collaboration with Polygon Guild Malaysia, Bitcoin Malaysia and Cryptocurrency Malaysia, the event which starts at 6pm at Sentul Warehouse 1, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur will issue tickets at a price of RM99.
Please be informed that all individuals attending the BTC Pizza Day will experience the BTC development journey from local industry representatives and community leaders while enjoying free pizza, personalized non-fungible tokens ( NFT ) and other prizes.
In addition to expecting 500 people to attend, more than 20 exhibitors from local and foreign Web3 enterprises may also appear at the following event.
According to Jason Chew from Polygon Guild Malaysia, BTC Pizza Day aims to remember and celebrate important events including raising awareness that small things, even if they seem insignificant, can start great transformations in the world.
