Pahang has announced special financial assistance for its civil servants, equivalent to 1.5 months' salary.

This announcement was made by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail during the tabling of the Pahang Budget 2025 at the State Legislative Assembly meeting.

The financial assistance to be distributed in 2025 involves a total allocation of RM33.3 million.

According to Wan Rosdy, this initiative is to recognise the hard work of civil servants and inspire them to continue providing excellent services.

He expressed his gratitude for their dedication and contributions to the state.

He also emphasised the importance of professionalism and mutual respect in ensuring the progress and prosperity of Pahang.

The achievements of civil servants have received recognition including awards won by the Kuantan City Council and the Jerantut District Council at the 2024 Local Authorities Convention.

In addition, the state government has agreed to adopt the Federal Government's Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA).

The system includes a 15% salary increase, with 8% implemented in December 2024 and the remaining 7% in January 2026.

This adjustment will require a financial expenditure of RM55.014 million by the state.
