KFC Invests £1.49 Billion in UK & Ireland – Business Strengthening Strategy

Fast food giant KFC, owned by Yum Brands, plans to invest £1.49 billion in Britain and Ireland over five years.


The main purpose of the effort is to create more than 7,000 jobs in the business organization throughout its supply chain.


The fried chicken fast food chain said it will open 500 branches in the coming period after successfully operating more than 1,000 branches across the UK and Ireland.


The total allocation for opening new branches and upgrading 200 existing locations is worth £466 million, while £583 million will be invested to create new job opportunities.


KFC stated that the demand for fried chicken among the UK people is increasing with a market value estimated to reach £3.1 billion.


The company's market is predicted to continue to grow rapidly driven by high consumer demand, thus surpassing other restaurant services.
