Toll company, WCE Holdings Bhd has reduced its net loss for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 to RM13.64 million compared to RM60.76 million in the same period last year.
Revenue increased 247 percent from RM91.6 million to RM318.1 million due to higher construction activities and the opening of additional WCE sections.
Toll collection rates increased by 79 percent quarter-on-quarter due to improved traffic growth.
WCE Holdings said that toll collection revenue under the concession segment jumped by 107 percent for the financial year ended March 31, 2025.
The collection was supported by the opening of three traffic sections, namely Section 1 (Banting – South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE), Section 2 (SKVE – Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) and Section 11 (Beruas – South Taiping).
In the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025, the segment's revenue increased 144% compared to the previous quarter driven by the construction of Rest and Service Areas (RSA) on the West Coast Highway.
In short, WCE Holdings is optimistic that its operational performance will be able to grow rapidly through increased toll revenue and the opening of three more toll sections.
