Trump Growing Fed Up with Putin, Considering Sanctions on Russia

Putin is known for making promises and then breaking them, but the one who has been most patient with him so far is his own close friend, President Donald Trump.

However, after a week without any news from Moscow, Trump is losing patience and Putin may be about to suffer the consequences.

Despite promising to send a “peace memorandum,” Russia has still failed to deliver the document, prompting Trump to threaten new sanctions after a weekend missile attack that killed dozens in Ukraine.

Trump slammed Putin’s attacks that have caused so many deaths and questioned the Russian leader’s motives.

Not only that, Trump also vented his anger on Truth Social, stating that if it weren’t for him, Russia would already be facing a variety of very serious bad things and warned that Putin was “playing with fire.”

More than 80 senators, including Trump’s allies and critics, supported the move.

Tensions on social media peaked when Dmitry Medvedev warned that the move could lead to World War III, but was met with a sarcastic response from Trump's envoy who demanded that Russia immediately hand over the promised memorandum.

While Trump remains cautious, fearing that excessive pressure could derail peace talks, Europe's insistence and mounting anger have many wondering, Will Trump finally punish Moscow, or does Putin still hold the reins?
