Iran's Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib confirmed that the country has obtained a lot of information about Israel's nuclear program, but did not provide any evidence to support it.

Khatib said the Intelligence Ministry obtained important and strategic intelligence from Israel that was brought in with "God's help."

Khatib also claimed that thousands of seized European, US and other intelligence documents would be made public soon, although it was not known how the intelligence was obtained.

He made the remarks in a televised speech after a cabinet meeting.

The announcement came days before Tehran is expected to face renewed diplomatic pressure over its nuclear activities, seen as a bid to rival Israel's high-profile intelligence operation in 2018.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that his agents had smuggled out "half a ton" of documents related to Iran's nuclear program.

Iran made the claim ahead of a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where Western countries are expected to criticize it for failing to clarify long-standing questions about its nuclear activities.

Furthermore, the following actions could be referred to the UN Security Council and reactivate the sanctions of the 2015 agreement.

Tehran is currently enriching uranium to 60%, close to the 90% level needed for nuclear weapons, and has stockpiled enough material to make several bombs.
