Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call to discuss the Iran-Israel conflict and bilateral relations.
Erdogan warned that Israel's attacks on Iran are triggering a cycle of violence that risks undermining regional stability and security.
Erdogan also said that the Netanyahu government is threatening the international system and that the region cannot afford another war.
He stressed that from the beginning, Ankara has prioritized a diplomatic approach to stop the attacks, and stated that the channel of negotiations and diplomacy is the only way to resolve the issue with Iran.
He also stressed that Israel's attacks on Iran cannot distract the world's attention from the genocidal crimes taking place in Gaza.
Putin, for his part, stressed the importance of ending the conflict immediately and paving the way for diplomatic efforts.
