Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his efforts to support international agreements.
Netanyahu submitted his official nomination letter to the Nobel committee and announced the matter during a dinner with Trump at the White House yesterday.
He said that Trump has succeeded in spreading peace across other countries and regions around the world.
Trump has previously been nominated several times by Republican supporters and politicians, but has been disappointed to never win the prestigious award.
Trump also claimed that he deserved the award for his role as a mediator in several international conflicts, including between India-Pakistan and Serbia-Kosovo.
