After stepping down as Minister of Economy in the recent PKR Deputy Presidential election defeat, Rafizi Ramli is now making a surprise comeback to launch a social enterprise platform called ‘Ayuh Malaysia’ on July 27.

Although no longer active in politics, Rafizi explained that this idea was actually planned for a long time as a way to bring about change directly at the grassroots level without depending on the political framework or party.

What is interesting is that ‘Ayuh Malaysia’ will not operate like a normal business that focuses solely on profit, or like an NGO that relies entirely on donated funds.

Instead, it is being driven as a social enterprise that re-distributes its profits to workers and the local community.

This platform is also rumored to be a ‘one-stop centre’ to help establish and expand more social enterprises complete with guidance, expertise, and financial assistance as well as direct networking with beneficiary groups.

The launch of 'Ayuh Malaysia' is seen as a new 'reset' in Rafizi's career, who now chooses to serve the people through community economic empowerment without making a name for himself in the world of politics.
