Minister of Finance II, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said MOF will make full use of data from the Central Database Hub (PADU) in the implementation mechanism of targeted RON95 subsidy.

He also informed that the PADU system has collected 30.4 million individual profiles to date.

The data includes demographic information, locality, socio-economic status, employment, income, education, vehicle ownership, poverty status and type of assistance received.

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) will use PADU data as the main reference to identify subsidy recipients, making it the first time the data has been used in detail.

He added that the government is now focusing on using the latest data to improve the effectiveness of service delivery. For example, the process of reviewing and verifying applicant information is very important to ensure that only those who are truly eligible receive assistance, thus reducing leakage.

Amir Hamzah also explained that the government can identify appropriate intervention programs for target groups based on the data collected.

He added that 204 agencies are currently continuously integrating their data into the PADU system, to ensure that the information is always updated and relevant.
