This measure was announced through the tabling of the 2026 Budget to ease the burden of the cost of living and appreciate the contribution of the public sector to the country's administration.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, the payment of this special financial assistance will be made before the Aidilfitri celebration next year.
The government also stressed that this grant reflects its ongoing commitment to caring for the welfare of civil servants and pensioners, who are the backbone of the government's delivery system.
In addition, the government also pledged to continue efforts to improve the public service scheme as a whole, including reviewing salaries and allowances to ensure that it remains competitive and relevant to the current economic situation.
