In tabling the 2026 Budget in the Dewan Rakyat, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the addition of 50 acres of Malay reserve land in the Bandar Malaysia area.

This move is part of the government's efforts to strengthen the Malay community's land holdings in strategic and high-value areas in the capital.

According to him, the development phase for the reserve area is expected to begin by the end of 2026, with careful planning so that economic and social benefits can be enjoyed in an inclusive manner.

This initiative is also in line with the Malaysia Madani agenda, which emphasizes a balance between economic development and social justice for the well-being of all citizens.
