Malaysia is currently actively implementing diplomatic efforts to bring back all national activists who participated in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) mission, with the transfer process expected to be carried out via Turkey in the near future.

Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said he had submitted the request to Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who agreed to assist.

The return of GSF participants, including volunteers and several well-known influencers from the country, will be arranged once they arrive in Istanbul.

According to him, all the activists involved are expected to leave Israel on a special plane with a group of Turkiye activists who were also detained by Israeli authorities yesterday.

In a statement, Wisma Putra stressed that it would ensure that all activists are given consular support and appropriate assistance to guarantee their safety and return.

The statement also mentioned that Anwar together with Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan had held discussions with several leaders of friendly countries, including the United States, to seek cooperation in expediting the release of the GSF participants.
