Tesla CEO Elon Musk made history by becoming the only person in the world to reach a net worth of $600 billion.
This news was confirmed after his company SpaceX has the potential to be listed on the public market with an estimated valuation of around $800 billion.
Musk, who managed to surpass the net worth of over $500 billion in October, owns a 42% stake in SpaceX which is now preparing to become a public company next year.
According to Forbes news sources, the SpaceX valuation is expected to strengthen Musk's wealth by $168 billion to $677 billion as of 12 noon ET yesterday.
The wealth is also supported by a stake of around 12% in electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Tesla, whose stock value has jumped 13% so far this year, despite its sales rate declining.
Tesla shares rose almost 4% yesterday after Musk announced that the company is testing robotaxis without safety monitors in the front passenger seat.
Meanwhile, Tesla shareholders last month approved a $1 trillion payout to Musk, supporting his goal of making Tesla a giant in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
