MIGA-i is a Shariah-compliant gold investment product under Maybank Islamic. When you buy gold here, you’re actually buying physical 999.9 gold, safely stored by the bank. Each gram you purchase is real, and the bank acts as an agent to store it for you.
The gold isn’t just a digital number—it’s physical gold backed by a secure vault, and if you want, you can redeem it into physical bars later.
From a Shariah perspective, the transactions use Musawamah (spot sale) contracts and elements of Wakalah, meaning the bank manages your gold purchase, redemption, and storage responsibly. All transactions are reviewed and approved by Maybank Islamic’s Shariah advisors, so you can invest with peace of mind.
