Malaysia Approves RM426.7 Billion Investments in 2025 – PM Anwar

Malaysia recorded the highest number of approved investments in history in 2025, reflecting investors' strong confidence in the direction of the country's economy.


Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the total number of investments approved last year reached RM426.7 billion, an increase of 11% compared to 2024.


A total of 8,390 investment projects were approved throughout the year, with the potential to create approximately 244,902 job opportunities for Malaysians.


Domestic investment remained the main contributor with a value of RM219.6 billion, representing 51.5% of the total number of approved investments.


At the same time, foreign investment recorded a significant increase of 20.9% to RM207.1 billion, reflecting international investors' confidence in Malaysia's economic stability, policy clarity and growth prospects.
