The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has warned that armed protests are likely to take place across the United States a few days before Joe Biden is sworn in as President.
There are reports that several armed groups plan to gather in 50 states and in Washington DC ahead of Biden's appointment as President on January 20.
Several statements released on Trump supporters' online network indicate they will hold several protests including armed demonstrations in several states on January 17 and protests in Washington DC on the day of the inauguration.
According to the FBI's internal bulletin reported by ABC News and several other media outlets, a group allegedly wants to 'raid' courts and state, local and Federal administrative buildings across the country if Trump is fired earlier.
Yesterday, Biden told reporters that he was not afraid to take the oath outside the Capitol.
He and Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris are expected to take the oath of office outside the Capitol, just two weeks after a massive riot incident by Trump supporters left four dead.
Security officials said similar incidents would not happen again and it was reported that 15,000 troops would be deployed during Biden and Harris' appointments.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that it will begin operations of the National Special Security Event (NSSE) for the appointment ceremony starting tomorrow to curb any untoward incidents.
