 The year 2021 marks a glorious year for Shiba Inu (SHIB) as it managed to record important episodes this year. Starting as a regular memecoin then gradually showing fangs until it was called a DOGE killer.


Cryptocurrencies have managed to emerge as the most viewed cryptocurrency assets on the CoinMarketCap platform in 2021, surpassing top cryptocurrency assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE).


According to CoinMarketCap, Shiba Inu recorded more than 188 million views in the past 12 months, about 43 million more than 145 million Bitcoin views this year. Dogecoin is ranked third among the most viewed crypto assets in 2021 with 107 million views, followed by Cardano and Ethereum with 86 million views and 81 million views respectively.

Interestingly, it was an unexpected achievement as Shiba Inu was just 15 months old and had been able to occupy the top 15 crypto assets based on market value.


In October, SHIB jumped more than 133% in four days, reaching an all -time high of $ 0.000088. The surge has managed to push its total market limit to over $ 41.5 billion and is in the top 10 rung over Dogecoin.


Meanwhile, data collected by leading information firm Global Data shows that social media conversations about SHIB jumped by 16,000% this year. This indirectly it managed to become the memecoin that recorded the largest growth rate.
