North Korea is ready to use nuclear weapons in its latest conflict with the United States and South Korea.
Addressing war veterans on the 69th anniversary of the Korean War, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warned that the country is fully prepared for any military confrontation with the US.
Local news agency KCNA reported that Kim Jong Un claimed that the threat posed by the US prompted Pyongyang to build up its defenses.
He added that Washington continues its dangerous and illegal hostilities with South Korea against its country and tries to justify its behavior by destroying North Korea.
North Korea has long accused Washington of being 'selective' in its military activities and pursuing a hostile policy towards Pyongyang.
In addition, Kim Jong Un also criticized the new administration of South Korea under President Yoon Suk-yeol saying that any attempt to paralyze his country will receive a decisive response and destruction.
The statement comes amid concerns that North Korea may be preparing a seventh nuclear test.
In January, it tested a hypersonic missile and a banned intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) as well as a missile it said could carry a tactical nuclear weapon.
