The National Bureau of Financing of Israeli terrorism (NBCTF) revealed a list of 187 cryptocurrencies allegedly related to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Corps (IRGC), a group blocked and designated as terrorists by the US, EU, UK and Canada.

According to the Elliptic block analytical firm, these addresses collectively receive $ 1.5 billion in the form of USDT (Tether), stablecoin that are folded to the dollar.

However, Elliptic explains that not all of these funds can be confirmed directly with IRGC, as some of the wallets may be owned by the exchange or services used by many customers.

The use of the USDT also revealed the wallet to Tether's control power.

Of the 187 Israeli-identified addresses, 39 were frozen by Tether on September 13, involving about $ 1.5 million in USDT.

The IRGC was previously associated with illegal cryptocurrency activities.

Last week, the US Department of Justice seized nearly $ 600,000 USDT from an Iranian accused of developing a drone navigation system for IRGC.

In December 2024, the US Treasury also imposed restrictions on wallets related to the IRGC network, which reportedly transferred more than $ 300 million in stablecoin through intermediaries in connection with the Houthi group in Yemen.
